This is the ‘Fuss’ about the Ab-Wheel:

For an abdominal exercise device that targets not only the mid-section extremely well, but the lats, triceps and chest as well, there definitely is justification for praising the ab wheel. Let’s see what the fuss is about.

I started using my ab-wheel (on and off) since about the year 2000. The only time I ceased its use was when I discovered that it made my core and abs so tight, that I couldn’t execute some Yogic Abdominal Exercises.

However, when I recently gave up these breathing/abdominal exercises from Yoga, (just didn’t want to be too overly involved in that spiritual side of Yoga anymore), I’ve since resumed the use of the ab-wheel.

Within a few short days, the 6-pack came right back and my arms (mainly the triceps and forearms and upper biceps), have received great benefit in strength and musculature from the forward pushing and pulling.

For how to use it:

-Start with a hand on each grip and kneel down with both knees together on the floor.

-Lock your arms and hold the wheel at your knees on the floor.

-Slowly roll the wheel out and away from your knees and continue going forward until your hands are beyond your head.

-Do not touch the floor; your body should be 3-6 inches above the floor. Return to the starting position by pulling in with your abdominal muscles and arching your back.

-Keep your arms straight and use your core muscles to return to the starting position again. Breathe in at the start and exhale on the way down. 7-10 repetitions equal one set AND one hell of a workout!

Most of all; dig this, if you go to a store like Sports Authority, Champs or even an Ancient Market, you can get it for only $9.95.

I don’t know about you, but if a device that inexpensive can get not only my abs, but perhaps my whole upper-body in great shape and tone, it sure has got my vote.

Perhaps this is why so many gymnastics instructors, boxers, martial artists, weight-lifters and fitness gurus recommend this abdominal exercise device. For strengthening, toning and exercises the core, it is a superior tool.
